Nowy MacBook Air, który do sprzedaży trafia już dzisiaj, nie wprowadza daleko idących wielkich zmian. Nieco więcej zmian zaszło w ofercie komputerów MacBook Pro. Apple oferowało kilka jego odsłon czyli podstawowy, 13-calowy bez paska Touch Bar oraz 13. i 15-calowe wersje, w których pasek był już obecny. Od dziś, z oficjalnej sprzedaży wycofano ten pierwszy model i zastąpiono go sprzętem wyposażonym w czterordzeniowy procesor Intel Core i5 1,4 GHz 8. generacji z Turbo Boost do 3,9 GHz, 8 GB pamięci LPDDR3 2133 MHz, Touch Bar, Touch ID, czip T2 i dysk SSD o pojemności 128 GB.
Wraz z odświeżonymi modelami MacBooka Pro i MacBooka Air i usunięciem z oferty 12-calowego Macbooka, ze sprzedaży wycofane zostają więc dwa inne modele. To wspomniany wyżej 13-calowy MacBook Pro bez paska Touch Bar oraz starszy model MacBooka Air (bez ekranu Retina, z portami USB typu A i gniazdem MagSafe 2).
